Global Health Partnerships
Global partnerships are in our national interest. The NHS is increasingly engaging in international health work, with growing interest from NHS staff for abroad knowing opportunities and an increasing demand for NHS knowledge and services globally.
HEE has legislative obligation to ensure that our future workforce is offered in the best numbers and has the required abilities, worths and behaviours to fulfill patients' needs and provide high quality care. As the NHS labor force organisation for England, HEE is uniquely placed to support the NHS to become a worldwide centre of quality for workforce development. HEE can do this by embedding worldwide skills, discovering and innovation, supporting local NHS organisations to engage in international activity as a method to bring in and maintain staff, bringing experienced overseas personnel to operate in the NHS on positionings and also by playing a facilitative function to make sure the cumulative efforts and knowledge of the NHS is collaborated and aligned to the overseas goals of Government departments including FCDO and DHSC.

HEE has been dealing with a variety of nations, responding to ask for support on workforce development, creating placements for professional groups, matching NHS labor force require with overseas training requirements and seeking out new bilateral relationships to enhance workforce development in the NHS and overseas.
