Manchester United Eyes Michael Olise in Summer Transfer Bid

Manchester United's interest in Crystal Palace winger Michael Olise has been confirmed by transfer expert Fabrizio Romano. Olise, who has the unique eligibility to represent four national teams England, France, Nigeria, and Algeria due to his diverse heritage, is on the radar of United's new owner Jim Ratcliffe as part of a significant overhaul planned for the summer.

Despite the challenges Olise has faced with fitness this season, his contribution of nine goals across all competitions has caught the attention of the Red Devils. This performance is notably superior to that of Brazil international Antony, who has been underwhelming since his arrival at Old Trafford two seasons ago.

Romano, speaking on CaughtOffside's The Debrief Podcast, highlighted Manchester United's keen interest in the 22 year old winger. However, he noted that while the interest is genuine, formal negotiations or direct contact to advance the deal have not yet commenced. It is still early, but the interest is there, Romano remarked, indicating that Manchester United is yet to make a concrete move.

Olise's potential move to Manchester United is further complicated by interest from other Premier League giants, including Liverpool and Chelsea. The player's release clause, set in his contract with Crystal Palace last year, remains undisclosed, adding another layer of intrigue to the transfer saga.
