  More Damage than Described

  Purchased this "used" unit from the Amazon Warehouse that was described as having "minor cosmetic damage in the interior" and rated "Acceptable". I felt the discounted price offered was very good for issues that were not visible or would affect performance. However, when I unpacked it, there was also a quite noticeable exterior dent (that I can't believe was missed on inspection). Not really wanting the hassle of repacking the wine fridge and hauling to the closest UPS store about 15 miles from my home, I called Amazon Customer Service to inquire about an additional discount to compensate for the exterior damage that was not disclosed on the web site. The agent was not able to authorize my request and when I asked to speak to her supervisor, she advised I must write an email to Amazon Customer Service and open an investigation. Before writing, I decided to test to see if the cooler was even worth keeping. The digital thermostat doesn't always work properly. The temperature display randomly changes from Fahrenheit to Celsius when the door is opened/closed and adjusts the temperature displayed down by one degree. It takes a few tries to readjust the temperature to the correct setting for it to stick. Once set, temp is fairly accurate within 1-2 degrees (I have a refrigerator thermometer inside to monitor). Every 10-12 hours or so, the display will again go down by one degree and doesn't go back up to desired setting unless reset manually. At the right price, I could live with these issues knowing I can make the adjustment as this is a short term storage solution for me. However, I have not received a response to the email I sent, and another Amazon Customer Service Agent, via Chat, said this wine cooler did not qualify for an additional reduction because it was an "Amazon Warehouse" item. So it will probably go into the landfill much sooner than it needs to.

  Perfect for table top or your bar! Love this small wine fridge- fits 6 bottles and we also put canned soda in it for an event. Just take the racks out.

  Too Small for Real Wine Bottles — Completely Misleading Dimensions; Stopped Working

  This BLACK+DECKER BD60026 wine cellar is basically useless if you own actual wine bottles. The interior is not deep enough and not tall enough to fit conventionally sized bottles, let alone anything oversized. Standard 750 mL bottles hit the back before the door closes, and taller bottles scrape the top rack. Display stopped working. The “8‑bottle capacity” claim is pure fantasy unless you only drink the shortest, skinniest bottles on the market. Total waste of money.

  Looks sleek, quiet, and does the job.

  The item is space efficient, fits 6 bottles of 750ml wine. It looks sleek. While a white noise can be heard when the fan runs, it's relatively quiet and most of time we don't pay attention. The items looks durable structurally but time will tell how long it lasts. This item was bought to maintain high quality wine at 55 degrees F so the light was rarely used. We had to place the item side ways because the fan is at the back to promote better air circulation.
