Defective product out of the box
Bought this pan for my daughters birthday, she received it, opened the box and the handle is loose. No, it was not damaged in shipping (box does not have a dent in it), sounds more like pour quality control. Very disappointed, I will contact Caraway and voice my opinion personally. After Contacting Caraway, it was explained to me that this company is an unapproved re-seller. They are selling this pan at twice the price (Caraway is selling them at $145.My own fault for not being more diligent, lesson learned.

Lid should be glass!
Who doesn’t monitor their cooking, e.g eggs, sauces, onions etc…!!?? I have to constantly lift and peek letting out heat and dripping water. It’s a huge pain. I try to balance a clear lid from my old pan but it doesn’t quite fit. Otherwise I like the pan itself.

Caraway vs TeChef vs DaTerra Cucina
First impression of the Caraway packaging: Impressive. Above and beyond. Yet, one has to wonder right off the bat how much the PAN is actually worth and how much you’re paying for the presentation and extra “stuff.”Impression of paint finish and coating: Poor. Right out of the box, my sauté pan had dings/missing “ceramic coating” inside of the pan, around the rim, and on the underside (food facing side) of the lid. Given this is a brand new pan, this is quite concerning. Even if small, you can tell the coating is very thin and unevenly sprayed. Food will already be exposed to what lies beneath…and even if the lid isn’t touching food, steam/condensation can drip from the exposed part onto food. Then there is the top of the lid. Oy. Smears, smears, smears. Washed it numerous times in numerous ways and used different towels to dry. So many smears. Very unsightly. And to be honest, I’d rather see my food, so would prefer a glass with silicone edge lid like DaTerra makes. Before automatically returning, I did sauté some ground hamburger for the pups just to test it out to see if I’d even want to try buying another. I wanted to know how I felt about that thin ceramic coating after heating, cooking, and washing. Collectively, between the paint job on the outside and the coating on the inside, it just seems like a very delicate/poor quality pan even though it is very “pretty” from afar. When I first looked at the interior of the Caraway pan, it reminded me a lot of my TeChef grill pan. I have included a photo to show you them side by side. TeChef is substantially cheaper and has the same non toxic claims. And to be honest, the coating on the TeChef is a higher quality than the one that came on the Caraway. Evenly coated, no dings or black speckling. Washes nicely also.I’ve had the DaTerra Cucina Vesuvio ceramic coated fry pan (not pictured, but you can search for it and see what it looks like) for three years. That pan also had a superior coating to this Caraway pan, in my opi

Best pan in the cupboard
I used this pan to fry chicken for dinner and loved the outcome, all with using less oil than required for the stainless-steel pan. The ceramic finish is not only a healthier option, it also does a better job of browning (caramelizing). Yes, it is on the expensive side but, when you consider health benefits it is well worth the cost, in my opinion.

Easy clean up!
Love this cookware! So easy to clean. The food doesn’t stick to it. The heat distribution is great as well. They are very well made!

Excellent nonstick sauté pan
Excellent pan! The nonstick surface works very well. If residue happens to form that doesn't come off with a simple sponge and dish soap, all you need to do is add a bit of baking soda. That will provide the needed cleaning without damaging the surface.I love the size of this dish. It really allows for mixing of a full recipe to come together in a way that the frying pan size doesn't quite allow. The cover also fits on well and has a hole for steam to escape which is very helpful.Because it is metal, the handle can get hot down near the connection with the pan. That's worth it, of course, because it leaves you the option of baking with the whole pan.Overall this is a great value. If you care for it properly it will stay non-stick for a long time.
