Time saver, all-in-one cooking appliance
Love my insta pot. I have narcolepsy and thus typically have very little energy to complete basic daily tasks. This has been a time saver and makes it easy for me to cook a week’s worth of meals with very little effort and few dirty dishes. This cooker can be used for anything from soups to roast, and can be used to make one serving or many. I only with the aluminum exterior was more durable as it dents very easily, and the dents are hard to remove completely. Wish I bought this ages ago!

Cooker I Actually Love Using
I received this instapot/air fryer 8 qt. It is massive but I needed something this size.I used it the first day I got it. I cooked 1 pot spaghetti in it. Three spaghetti turned out great. I forgot to season the meat, because I was so excited about getting it in. It cut my cut time in half. The only thing was coming the hamburger meat with the airfryer. It cooked the meat but it browned it to much. Next time I will try cooking it on another setting.I haven't found anything that I don't like about it yet. The size is great for my size family, it cools great for the first time using it. I will try other settings to see how it works with the dehydrator, the pressure cooker, and the other settings. I will update on those and how i like them.

I guess I like kitchen gadgets now...
I was always pretty anti-kitchen gadgets. The InstantPot seemed like just another thing that did stuff I could already do on my stove or oven. Boy, was I wrong.I honestly am in disbelief how much I love using this thing. It is so versatile that I use it more than anything else in my kitchen, except maybe the sink. The reasons why? Well, for starters it’s super easy to clean. Instead of making a mess with multiple pans and pots and lids with food stuff splattering everywhere, the InstantPot is one thing that’s fully contained. When the timer ends I take out the food, clean the pot, and wipe down the lid and little “gutter” and that’s it. Two, it’s so FAST! Now, granted some things will feel like they take the same or similar amount of time when pressure cooking because the machine has to build pressure. BUT, the difference is that I can set this and LEAVE! When it’s ready it beeps and I can choose to keep the food warm or have it stop cooking when the timer is done. What really sold me on finally purchasing this is the air fryer attachment. I’ve been wanting an air fryer so this was much cheaper than buying everything separately. I will say that while I do love the air fryer it’s probably not the best on the market. When using a two-tiered basket, whatever is in the top portion *will* be more cooked than the bottom. This is a problem I will try to fix by simply removing the top portion when it’s cooked and letting the bottom cook longer until it’s done. Not ideal, but for delicious air fried food ans the convenience of having these capabilities from one machine at this price, I’ll make do.I recommend purchasing an InstantPot cookbook to accompany this. It will help acquaint you to how this machine can be used, even if the cookbook is more oriented towards one of the models without the air fryer. What do I use this for? So far I’ve made vegan chana masala (yum!), vegan banana bread (yum!), air fried Brussels sprouts (yum!), truffle fries (you get the idea). I’ve also use

instant pot.
So far it is wonderful. BUT a few more accessories would be nice. Purchased when ninja foodi quit working. It is a little learning curve on cooking time vrs the ninja but I love it. The downside is the airfry lid is heavy and doesn't have a 1 pot steam crisp function. But it is workable. Buy two pot inserts and steam in one than finish off in other pot on airfry. Still working that out. The pressure funcion is great. No hassle and totally safe. Makes perfect large hard boiled eggs. 4 minutes on pressure and 5 minutes cool down under natural steam release than quick release.than immediate drop into ice water and peal. No green eggs and ham here. Just tender eggs . Did not have a cooking guide which was the most annoying thing. So I would recommend this product.

Not a causal appliance
This pot changed my life. I am an Instant Pot girly now. This is a BIG POT. If you have a small kitchen this 8qt is NOT for you. Get a smaller Instant Pot. And arguably this is too big for my family of 3, the 6 qt would have worked fine. This pot is for Instant Pot enthusiasts and not for casual cooks.BUT the air fryer on the other hand, which I use once a week or so, the 8qt is the right size because the food needs more space in order to cook. The chicken wings are magic. After I got this Duo Crisp, my parents got a sturdy toaster oven/air fryer combo that lives on their countertop. It’s wayyyy less hastle than the Dup Crisp for the air fryer function, but the wings aren’t as good. So know that you are taking on an appliance on the level of a bulky toaster oven.

What can't it do?
If you're looking for an efficient, easy to use kitchen appliance that can do it all, look no further!I'm a restaurant cook so two things are true: 1. Most in-home kitchen appliances fail to do the job as effectively as I'd like and 2. When I do cook at home, I'm preparing something I don't have to fuss over. With that said, the duo-crisp was worth every penny. I'll start with the air fry/convection roast function because it's the most impressive. Want perfect chicken legs? Season, place in the pot, put on the lid, set to roast, and in 30 minutes you've got fall off the bone, crispy skin with the fat completely rendered, perfectly moist chicken. NO messing with oven preheating, oil spatter on the stove, or soaking roasting pans for a week. Couldn't be easier.Want a flavorful, clean chicken broth? Pressure cook, 25 minutes. Done. Want restaurant worthy dumplings without having to mess with a stove top steamer? Steam function, 10 minutes from frozen. Done. And you can do it while you're in the shower without worrying about setting the house on fire. Want a beautiful braised pot roast done by dinner time but you don't have the afternoon to sit at home watching it? Pressure cook, 40 minutes. Done. That sad frozen piece of pizza from the day before? Air fry, 3 minutes and it's heaven. This machine has been a force multiplier in my household and has made cooking so painless. I always spend way less time cleaning pots and pans and grease traps. If I had the space I'd buy two and run them simultaneously.

Best addition to my kitchen, and certainly beats a stand-alone air fryer, too!
I had a different brand of a pressure cooker, but knew there was a lot of hubbub about Instant Pots and their new air fryer lids. My friend mentioned there was this newer model that doubled as an air fryer / roaster, and I got one! This machine is incredible, I'm being honest. We roast vegetables for almost every dinner and this air fryer lid shaves half the time off of that process and doesn't make the entire kitchen hot. Our oven takes about 10-12 minutes to get to the right temperature, then roasts for 20 minutes, then takes another hour to cool down. The air fryer option on the Instant Pot takes about 2 minutes to heat up, only needs to cook for about 10-12 minutes tops, then cools down very quickly. It's truly a fraction of the time and frees up the oven for the main course! So far we've loved it for cooking carnitas and then crisping with the lid once done, making delicious one-pot pasta meals and broiling the cheese on top, or making some nice stews / other dishes. I'm extremely, EXTREMELY impressed with the Duo Crisp. Pressure cookers are great to begin with, but having the simple addition of the air frying lid is just a total game changer for us. I also didn't realize that stand-alone air fryers are rather expensive, so this machine being able to do both pressure cooking AND air frying for us for less than the cost of a big air fryer has been amazing. I cannot recommend this machine enough! We've had it a month and use it about 5-7 times a week at the moment. It's also helpful for getting roasted vegetables at lunch as it's so quick about cooking. I'll update in a few months or a year on how it's doing - but I'd buy this again a few times with how useful it is! If you're on the fence - don't be. Just get it - you will be happy!

Great appliance
After using a while I can say that I do love this appliance, I wanted one for a long time but didn't have space, I bought this one for it's air fryer capabilities. It airfrys OK, not as good as a standard air fryer but it does the job. I have not used the slow cooker function so I can't speak to that. I would not recommend purchasing this model for the air fryer honestly, just get a regular instant pot...I also love that I bought the bigger size even though it is massive! I like to prep a lot at once.
