    Beware who you buy these from - selling factory seconds.

    The vendor we bought from looks like they are selling factory seconds. Ordered it twice and both sets had chipped handles.I don't think the product is necessarily bad - but we were receiving damaged goods.

    Good knives-block poor quality

    The knives are great and hold an edge well. The block however is not holding up well. Stain is getting knocked off around knife slots showing light underlying wood color. Scissor slot is getting edges knocked off/rounded too. Expect better for the price.

    Henkels are the best

    I am a dedicated home chef. I have used Henkels knives for 45 years. While I have owned Wustoff, Sabatier, Chicago Cutlery, all of my current knives are Henkels and I doubt I will ever buy another knife for myself. For the last 30 years I’ve given Henkels knife sets as wedding presents and I am still getting thanks decades later. They last forever ( my son has insisted that he will inherit mine, and he shall) This set was yet another wedding present and they are thrilled. Long after I have passed I am certain they will still be glad to have these in their kitchen. As a note, the Chef s Choice 3 stage sharpener is the perfect follow up gift but they don’t last nearly as long. I am on my 4th or fifth but the knives are still all but new and razor sharp and little worn despite decades of use. If you love to cook, they are beautifully designed and fall into the hand. If you are looking looking for a gift that will be long appreciated , look no further

    You get what you pay for, top quality and excellent knives!

    I’ve had these for several months and let me tell you, they work and work well! Very sharp right out of the block. They meet all my needs and then some. So sharp we’ve had an incident where a finger tip was bloodied because we were so used to using dull knives, so be careful when transitioning to these from older, poorer quality knives. It’s a huge difference!They feel balanced in the hand - less finger fatigue than other knives I’ve used. Shape and color are top quality.I’m hoping these will be in use for several decades. They are easy to use and easy on the eyes. You get what you pay for and these are top quality.
