    Absolutely Worth It

I couldn’t be happier with my De’Longhi Magnifica Plus. From the first cup, it was clear this machine is on another level compared to anything I’ve owned before. The espresso is rich, smooth, and perfectly extracted every time, with a beautiful crema that rivals what I get at my favorite café.The built in grinder makes a huge difference. Freshly ground beans completely elevate the flavor, and the grind settings let you fine tune the taste exactly how you like it. I also love how customizable the drink options are strength, temperature, and volume are all adjustable, so it feels like the machine is tailored to you.The milk frothing system is fantastic. It produces creamy, velvety foam for cappuccinos and lattes with almost no effort. Clean up is surprisingly easy too, which is a big plus for a fully automatic machine. The intuitive controls and clear display make it simple to use right out of the box. What really stands out is the consistency. Every morning I get the same great result without guessing or tinkering. It’s fast, quiet, and feels solid and well built. If you’re on the fence, don’t be. This machine has completely changed my home coffee routine and has already paid for itself in café trips I no longer make. Highly recommend

    Buena compra.

Gracias.

best bean to cup machine I've used

Eureka! I have arrived in fully auto, bean to cup maker nirvana. In the past few weeks I have used other machines by Siemens and Phillips, and the De'Longhi Magnifica Plus is the clear hands down winner. The quality of the coffee of the Magnifica simply can't be beat, and that is the most important factor when comparing machines in my mind. Ease of use, clean up, etc. also factor in, but not as important as taste. That said, De'Longhi does a good job on these other fronts as well.First, on the quality of the coffee... the Magnifca shines above the rest for me, as the strength of the coffee you can produce with this machine is highly adjustable, with a great top end range of making an excellent strong espresso or Americano, that the other machines can't quite get to. Even using the double shot function, the Phillips just didn't make the rich full bodied shots that the Magnifica can pull off with a single pull. A nice creama, and what I would bet is equally as good overall taste as any auto machine out there. The pucks from the Magnifica look the way an espresso puck should... highly compacted, that break apart cleanly between the fingers if you want to examine the aftermath. The milk drinks shine as well with this machine. It is capable of creating a rich and thick foam milk froth, with a highly adjustable frother (for those who might like things on the thinner side and as the case may be for certain drinks). I like the notion of taking the entire frother and putting it in the fridge for your next drink. It feels like a good system, and after a couple of cleanouts, I can say I am very happy with overall ease of use with the Magnifica frother. The on screen menus here are intuitive. Perfect for our family of 4, and so far it seems people are willing to take the step of changing the profile to get to "their colour". I have admittedly mistakenly started the brewing process before adjusting the parameters a couple of times (as you can do with the Phillips). Once I am used

My first 'superautomatic' and couldn't be happier with it

I love coffee but have always used a simple drip machine at home. I recently made the decision to invest in a fully-automated espresso machine, a superautomatic as I’ve learned they are called, just to see what I was missing out on. I gave myself a budget of $1000, which is 10x what my current drip coffee maker cost. After doing lots of research I settled on the Delonghi Magnifica Plus. (It was on sale for $999 for Black Friday.) The reasons: it came highly recommended in user forums, was getting great reviews by coffee experts, and had all the features that people complained about not having in less expensive models (easy to maintain, fully configurable, chute for ground coffee, etc.) If you look at the reviews here, you’ll notice that most of the complaints are about the cheaper models (Start, Evo) and not the Plus. The bottom line: I absolutely love it! It look me a bit of experimenting, but I eventually found the right grind/shot strength/water amount/temperature to always get my perfect cup of coffee. (I drink Americanos.) I do rely on the ability to personalize all the settings and can see how it would be frustrating not to be able to do so with a cheaper model. I haven’t used the milk attachment, but I like knowing that it’s there in case I want to experiment. The UI is well designed and it’s easy to use. The only downside is that it’s so easy to make an amazing cup of coffee that it’s hard not to drink more than I should. Another downside is that I’ve stopped going to my favorite coffee shop as often, as I can now get an arguably better cup of coffee at home. I hadn’t considered this when I first bought it, but the machine will actually pay for itself within a year.

    Game Changer

Game changer. Highly recommend. Coffee temp is hot, even milk based coffees. Very easy to clean. Milk frother cleans itself. Machine is very intuitive and guides you through every process from start to finish. Wide variety of coffee drinks. Compares to my Jura that I owned for over 15 years.I would not hesitate to invest in this machine.

    Stopped working, terrible customer service

Update:I returned to California, my home address for a week and picked up the box with padding this company insists I use. I had to mail it back to myself overseas, costing $65. To mail a darn box!The weight of the box will cost me over $100 to mail to the states for repair. When repaired, they cannot mail the machine to me. I’ll have to have it sent to a friend’s house to sit until I move back.I e-mailed customer service to ask if I need to have the carafe in the box too. Its cracked. I need a new one. They refuse to respond. Garbage machine and even worse customer service.—This shipped perfectly well from the DeLonghi store on Amazon to my overseas military post office. Every service member in my area has to have a post office box. That doesn’t mean items get crammed into a box. It just means that you have to go to a post office window to pick up your box. It’s pretty cut and dry. While I was really excited for this machine, it completely stopped working within four months of purchase. Machine continues to turn itself on and off mid cycle. After an entire month of back-and-forth with customer service, they have come to the conclusion that the warranty does not apply to me any longer because of my physical location. They are stating they cannot ship packing materials for me to send this back for a repair to any post office box and even if the item was repaired, they cannot send it to me because I live overseas. So an entire espresso machine can be shipped to my post office box but they cannot ship packing materials??Their solution is that when I’m finished my military service I return to the states and take care of it then. That will be way past the warranty. Make this makes sense please. I spend almost $1000 on a coffee machine that broke within four months and there’s not a single thing they will do to help me. Completely refusing my request for a refund. It was great while it worked, although even the extra large coffee was still small in size comparatively.I rave
