  Recommend to buy - if you have problems then contact De'Longhi directly as they seem happy to help.We're on our THIRD Rivelia in just 45 days!The first two units experienced the "empty coffee grounds" notification screen where a sensor malfunctions and prevents you from doing anything until you get the tray seated in a precise way to satisfy the sensor (we had to put a spoon under one unit's tray; the other we had to push to the right). The defect only gets worse with each day.First unit was returned to Amazon and we bought a new one (same discounted price of 1400).When Second unit failed, I called De'Longhi (thanks to their rep, Luis) - pleasantly for me, they took accountability of the defect, extended the warranty a couple years, and shipped the Third unit, which has been inspected for the defect (arrived in one day!).We're a day into using the Third unit and no problems so far (fingers crossed).I wouldn't usually keep something that malfunctions so soon after purchase. However, the Rivelia makes really nice coffee, plus all the other features make it that much nicer, and De'Longhi stand by their warranty (and the discounted price helped).

  Beverages Are Just NOT HOT ENOUGH!

  No experienced barista could give this machine a 5-star rating. Although I'm not a professional barista, I've owned 3 Gaggia Classic machines, and a Rancilio Silvia over the past 20+ years, and have been making espresso based beverages, primarily lattes, every day of that time. This DeLonghi Rivelia machine is a good – I repeat, GOOD – machine, but it is definitely not a GREAT machine. Let's start with the bad and finish with the good, because there's a lot I like about this machine.As the title says, my primary gripe about the machine is that it simply doesn't give you a hot enough beverage. Here's what I do to try to alleviate that. First, I use a thick ceramic mug for my latte. I fill it with water and microwave that for 4 minutes to get the water boiling and get the mug heated up. While the microwave is doing its thing, I turn on the DeLonghi and let it go through its (very short) warmup cycle. I get the milk dispenser all ready to go, but before attaching it to the machine, I attach the water spout. When there's about 30 seconds to go on the microwave, I put an empty cup under the DeLonghi water spout and hit the "Hot Water" icon on the machine. It starts to pour hot water, which will help to heat up its boiler(s) and tubing. When the microwave finishes, I stop the hot water dispensing, quickly remove the water spout and install the milk dispenser, empty the hot water from my latte mug and position the mug on the machine, and then hit "Latte"...presto! And once everything has finished, I put my latte in the microwave and, sin of all barista sins, I nuke it for at most 30 seconds. That gives me a beverage (size Large) that is nice and hot like I want it.One other minor negative...when I switch bins from my full-strength beans to my wife's decaf beans, it leaves about a shot's worth of beans in the hopper that you gotta somehow remove (very awkward). Thankfully, there's a "grind and empty hopper" function that'll do that, but it's a waste of beans. Thank goodness

  Fácil de usar nada más al sacarla de la caja, la pantalla táctil y los perfiles funcionan como deberían y son muy intuitivos. A mi parecer un gran acierto que los dos depósitos que trae para grano de café puedan ser intercambiables, de esta manera puedo tener café en grano a mi gusto y café en grano descafeinado como le gusta a mi pareja. Prepara un café y flat white deliciosos!

  Best coffee I eve have so far. Love the functionality and the design. Bought it a couple months ago and I will give it 5 stars but I stated noticing my coffee is not that hot anymore as it used to be when I bought it.

  Stay away from a piece of junk?

  This was an overpriced failure. The sensors kept providing error messages. Initially referring to the Grinder then to the drip pan. Having spent 5 hours tring to correct these errors, I have still not got a cup of coffee. It sells as a very high priced luxury machine....at the moment an overpriced peice of junk. Stay away!!!
